Happy Thanksgiving, Columbus and ALL

I just simply wanted to say, thank you for your friendship and your love. I am thankful to be apart of such a great city and live amongst fine folks just like you. I know each of you probably have your days filled with family and food and even some good entertainment. So, be thankful for everything you have that is right in front of you. You are blessed.

In an uncertain time, it is hard to find things to be thankful for. But the one thing I have always taken comfort in knowing is that I'm an American. As we see terror unfold in India today, we are reminded of one September morning that shook the very fabric of our foundation and all of humanity. Tears streamed down each and every cheek. So we should be reminded and be thankful, that our President and leadership have worked non-stop to prevent another attack from taking place here on American soil. We are reminded of why we fight this war on terror. We are reminded of the sacrifice of selfless beings that willfully go forward to serve and defend our country today. We are reminded of their families and friends sacrifice during this time of year.

So, sometimes we have more to be thankful for, than we thought before. I am thankful for all the fine men and women who are serving to keep our nation safe. I am thankful for all the goodness and kindness that still remains alive today. I am thankful for life. I am thankful for my liberties. And, I am thankful for all those that have died so that I may have those rights.

With bills on the table and fewer dollars in the account, we may not see too many things to be thankful for. But always know in your heart, that we live in a country where we continue to remain safe from harm. We can take comfort knowing that no mad man's bomb will reach our shores, as long as the fight against terror continues to go on. One day, hopefully soon, we will sit down at the dinner table with every soldier back here at home. But until the day that terror is rooted up and destroyed, we should be thankful for the sacrifice of others so that we can sit here in our homes, free from harm and madness from abroad.

I am thankful to God for giving me life and purpose. I am thankful to everyone I know. Each person out there, even though we may oppose each others views from time to time, always know that I am thankful for each and every one of you. Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for your love. I am thankful and blessed to be enriched with so many friends, just like you. May you and all yours have a very Happy Thanksgiving Day!

God Bless,
